5 Seas Right in the center of the Mediterranean. Land travel was easy Sea travel was hard (few good harbors)

6 Farm Land Full of fertile farm land Didn’t “need” to trade much with other groups.

7 Volcanoes Several volcanoes on the peninsula. Most are now extinct. Vesuvius
