Challenges in Education ICT Engineers for Telecom industry a J.Mulabegović, J. Mujić, I.Kapetanović-Serdarević

BH TELECOM AND ICT TRAINING FOR FUTURE ENGINEERS  In the period 2005 - 2015 BH Telecom has allocated 13.157.178.53 KM donations for education, culture, sports and humanitarian work.  BH Telecom has so far provided scholarships to 246 best students in BiH mostly students of technical universities, ICT engineers. Almost all scholarships and engineers are currently employed in BH Telecom.  In the last 10 years, 1405 students had the opportunity to do practical work in BH Telecom.  Various practical educational programs created by the BH Telecom's professionals adapted to the requirements of current knowledge required in the telecom industry.  BH Telecom educational programs for future ICT engineers : Technical support educational program, Sales services educational program, Customer support educational program.  Laboratory exercises students perform in BH Telecom

COMPETITIVE ICT ENGINEERS  To consolidate and differentiate formal education is extremely important to strengthen the dialogue and cooperation between the educational system on technical colleges and telecom operators, which is a key requirement for achieving competitive ICT engineers as core value for attracting new investments in ICT industry.  ICT technologies are dynamic areas which are constantly evolving, therefore should have a clear strategy, the vision and goal to give specific projections and guidance in which direction and at what pace will be developed ICT industry in accordance how to educate young people. Engineering studies are very demanding and require a good foundation, so that young engineers should be able to include and participate in projects and operations in telecom companies as soon as it possible. Such aproach has a direct impact on the development, growth and potential of the ICT industry.  A quality approach to education implies a link theoretical knowledge and more comprehensive studies and practical work, where telecom operators can have a major impact, in the sense that open their doors to future ICT engineers so that they care about their development even as a student.  Economic and technological developments in the world have imposed the need for rapid changes in telecommunications, both from business and from an organizational and technological aspects, while at the same time telecommunications market is becoming the most dynamic and most saturated range of technologies and services, information systems used today, and require continuous development and new ideas that will be developed by future ICT engineers.

MODELS OF BH TELECOM TRAINING FOR FUTURE ICT ENGINEERS  Telecom operators in order to maintain its leading position in the market must have well educated ICT engineers, capable to understand their role in the overall process.  All organizational sectors in BH Telecom is actively involved in developing models of educational programs for students in practical training, implementing the suggestions from formal educational institutions such as ETF Tuzla. BH Telecom is the most agile „advocate” of ICT development in the BiH telecommunication market as the key point in defining the strategic goals in telecom industry, for this reason BH Telecom continuously plan the recruitment of new ICT engineers as a base for future improvements.  The basic models of educational programs in BH Telecom: Practical training for students Organizing workshops on the development and upgrading of information and communication technology to improve the process, Organizing competitions and projects on innovation in the telecom industry, technological developments and opportunities for further development.  The goal is to educate future ICT engineers in particular, to increase their value in the labor market, to supplement their knowledge, and to better regulate the market ICT workforce systematization of professional competence.

OUTDOOR SPECIALIST TRAINING ICT ENGINEER FOR TELECOM INDUSTRY  BH Telecom pays great attention to the development of corporate social responsibility by investing in specialized training for future IT engineers, as well as in teaching and research projects of the academic community that under these programs offers the opportunity to develop professionally in the future the most successful ICT engineers in BiH.  Through practical work students enables the most significant educational experience that is invaluable with a desire to be in the future to encourage the acquisition of new experiences on the basis of which will perhaps start their own business or easier to find a suitable job with the employer.  Students are introduced through practical work with: Techniques, methods and processes for the execution of IT and telecommunications services (voice, data, services and M2M services, the concept of cloud models, integrated services, contact center and its services), Services of BH Telecom for the development of the society, Way of technical support and implementation services, Placement services to residential and business customers

EXAMPLE BH TELECOM TRAINING FOR FUTURE ICT ENGINEERS  Through those models and specialized training young people through practical work even as a student get the opportunity to be introduced to a processes which will later be able to implement in the real sector.  BH Telecom educational training for future ICT engineers includes the introduction to: BH Telecom corporative culture, BH Telecom policy, mission and vision on the telecommunications market BiH, Theoretical and laboratory training, Code of Conduct, Introduction to application solutions in telecom system.  For ICT students is important systemic education in real ICT systems, therefor it is important to connect the training programs in real systems and formal educational system.

EXAMPLE SPECIALIST TRAINING FOR FURUTE ICT ENGINEERS AT BH TELECOM  In order to acquire key qualifications from the ICT industry, it is through education to acquire competencies in the following areas: A detailed analysis of all existing connections, users, create offers, preparing for the meeting. Monitoring the status of contract users. Key qualification s should include the transfer of knowledge in the application and developmen t of thinking outside the box Education: - Vocational education, - Legal processes and tariff packages, - Business and leading processes,. Market and customer relationships, - Management of sales and control - Working organizations and techniques, - Information and communicati on, - Planning and organizing, - Teamwork - ICT products and markets, - Development Trends, - Options application, - Architecture, - Hardware, - Operating Systems - Network services, - Software for application - Establishment and management of system solutions, - ICT analysis, - Programming techniques, - Installation and Configuration, - System maintenance, - Data Security

CONCLUSION  Telecom operators to improve and establish the best possible telecommunications market must have highly skilled ICT engineers. Today is hard to imagine any new solution worthy of open ideas which is not based on research of ICT engineers.  The academic community and telecom companies have common goal to create conditions for the production of highly qualified ICT engineers who will be able and know how to respond to the needs and requirements of the highly demanding telecommunication market.  BH Telecom already in universities pulls young talented professionals, and provides them with support during their studies through scholarships. After graduation, many young ICT professionals immediately start their careers in BH Telecom.  The expectation for the professional development of ICT engineers is constantly changing according to the needs of the market. In addition to technical knowledge reached during formal education, competitive ICT engineers need to posses the knowledge gained through specialized training on real ICT systems such system in Telecom operators.
