3. What Does the Counselor Do?
Can assist with serious problems that are interfering with you doing your very best in school such as:
Anger, Worry, Sadness, Bullying, Divorce/ Separation, Recent Death, Incarcerated Parent(s), Poor Attendance, Trouble, Friendship Problems, etc

4. Being RESPECTFUL Means:
Honoring the rights or wishes of those in the counseling office

5. Use Polite Language please excuse me thank you you’re welcome

6. While STOP sign is on door
Be very quiet so you will not disturb counseling session
Do not knock on the door while the stop sign is on the door

7. Keep stories confidential
What is discussed in counseling groups, stays inside the counseling room
Do not talk about personal stories on the playground, in class, or with others

8. Being RESPONSIBLE Means:
Counselor
Quietly walking to the counselor’s office
Going directly back to class with your pass
Where’s your PASS?!
GO AWAY!

9. Ask permission & Clean Up
Always ask permission before touching supplies
Say “may I…”
Before you leave put all items back where they belong

10. Calm voice & patience Use a calm inside voice
Share items with other students
Wait for your turn

11. Being SAFE Means:
Following counselor’s office expectations so you will be less likely to get hurt or hurt others.

12. Keep Hands, Feet, & Objects to Self
Respect other’s personal space
Keep materials to yourself
No play fighting

13. Report Emergencies
All school staff care about kids, so if someone is in serious danger, immediately talk to any trusting adult to get help.

Keep all four chair legs on the floor

15. Positive Consequences
