Classroom Behavior

You are in a classroom to learn. That is the ONLY reason you are in a classroom.

You are not here to date.

You are not here to make friends and have a party.

You are not here to be a clown and ruin the lesson.

You are not here to SLEEP in class and NOT DO your WORK! Imagine what would happen if you did that at work one day?

Students will get jobs based on their education.

When one person keeps others from learning, he or she is stealing opportunities from the other students.

To want to be the center of attention is selfish and immature behavior.

This behavior includes talking while the teacher is trying to teach.

Asking silly questions in the middle of class.

Wanting to get water or go to the bathroom all the time to get out of working.

Drumming on the desk

Following the teacher around talking to them while they are busy with all the students.

Not bringing your planner or your pencil to class and interrupting the teacher to give you a pencil.

Raising your hand TOO much to be called on when other people need to be able to answer, too.

Horseplay or not following rules.

All of these things take up time that the teacher needs to spend on other students NOT ON YOU!

This behavior is a type of academic bullying because the other students are not able to learn and they miss their opportunity.

This behavior is a way of saying that YOU feel YOU are more important than anyone else.

Troup County spends on average of $6,000.00 per student per year to give them an education. This is not a FREE education. Someone has to pay for it.

One day, you will EARN by what you have LEARNED! We are giving you the potential to earn money one day!

School is a GIFT to you. Some children don’t even get to go to school and live in poverty their whole lives.

If you are a person who does these disruptive behaviors, you will receive consequences if the behavior doesn’t stop right now.
