Conducted one day Orientation Programme to all the MEOs and MRPs on RTE Act and RVM (SSA) activities from 13 th June, 2012. Conducted survey of 5+ Children in all the habitations in the district in the first week of June, 2012 in association with the District Women and Child Development Agency, Rangareddy. Conducted Special Enrollment Drive in all the habitations in the district from 18 th June to 02 nd July,2012. Progress Overview 2012-13

Achievements of Special Enrollment Drive Programme 46,053 children of 5+ Age group were enrolled in to the 1 st Class ( 100% ). 34,119 class V students were transited in to Class VI (100%) 33,933 class VII students were transited in to Class VIII (100%) 3123 Out of School Children were enrolled in the Regular Schools (2203) and KGBVs (920) among the 4043 OSC which were identified in the Rapid Survey. 1 Mandal,438 Gram Panchayaths were achieved 100% enrollment. Kalajatha Programmes were organized in 10 mandals to create awareness on RTE Act-2009.

Achievements of Special Education Fortnight Kalajatha Programmes were organized in 50 villages to create awareness on RTE Act-2009. 24,00,114 text books were distributed. Uniforms were distributed to 2,59,248 students. 32 ACRs were inaugurated during the period of SEF-2012. Two hostels for Urban deprived boys students was started at Kismatpura ( Rajendranagar )and Kukatpally (Balanagar) 392 Aids and Appliances were distributed to the CWSN students. Sanitary Napkins were distributed to the 33,599 girl students. Class VIII was incorporated in identified 74 UP Schools

Proposed Activities It is planned to conduct One day Orientation on RTE Act and role of Panchayath Raj Institutions in the implementation of RTE Act to all the Panchayath Secretaries in the district. It is planned to develop wall writings on the provisions of RTE Act in all the villages in the district. It is planned to conduct training programmes for SMC members on RTE Act and their role and responsibilities. It is planned to organize Kalajatha programmes in all the villages on RTE Act. It is planned to conduct orientation programme on preparation of School Development Plan to the PRI members, SMC members and field functionaries.

Proposed Innovative Activities Arrangements have been made to distribute the letters to the SMC vice-chair persons to conduct Teachers’ day in their respective schools to develop rapport between the SMC and the Teaching Community. It is planned to conduct seminars at Mandal level on Community Ownership with the NGOs, Philanthropists, Public Representatives, SMC members, Parents and the heads of line departments. It is planned to organize workshops on Status of Implementation of RTE Act at various levels. It is planned to organise workshops on RTE 2009 with all Head Masters of High Schools.
