Interests in Africa Algeria: renovation of 20 gas compression stations for Sonatrach. Togo: production and distribution of electricity. Morocco: management of public lighting in Casablanca by Lydec who handles the cities water electricity and sanitation services.

Interests in South America Peru: operation of the 130MW Yuncan hydroelectric power plant (30 years). Chile: design and construction of the Nehuenco 2 combined-cycle power plant. Brazil: Brazil is Suez Energy International´s main center of operations in South America. Through Tractebel Energia, SUEZ is the largest private generator in the country, with around 8% of the Brazilian total generation assets.Tractebel Energia sells power to around 100 clients, mainly large industries and distribution companies, through medium and long term contracts.
