8 What Next? Using the FYV Resources Establish Membership Goals Once the Membership Chair has reviewed the FYV program, she should meet with the PR Chair, Musical and Administrative leaders of your chapter to establish short and long term goals and plans for membership growth. Determine Which FYV Tools to Use Determine which parts of Find You Voice your chapter will use. The program is most successful if you use all parts of the FYV program. However, each part can be used as a stand-alone program. Depending on which parts you use, you will need to engage the following teams: Membership Team PR Team Music Team Administrative Leadership Your Entire Membership

9 What Next? Using the FYV Resources Membership Team Refer to the “Membership Guide” for ideas for Prospective Member Nights, membership retention, etc. The Membership Tools & Resources page is a good resource for best practices and success stories from other HI chapters that have used the FYV program in the past. PR Team You will find the “Marketing Materials” and “PR Guide” very useful. Be sure to send a consistent message in all your PR and marketing using the tagline, “We’ll help you…. Find Your Voice”. Utilize the FYV logos and banners in all marketing. Music Team The “Vocal Aerobics Guide” provides detailed lesson plans for a 4-week program to educate prospective members about barbershop harmony and encourage their involvement in your chapter. Administrative Leadership & Your Entire Membership Your Board and your entire membership will need to provide their support and assistance for your chapter to grow its membership.

10 Find Your Voice - A Branding Campaign! What is branding and why is it important? If someone in your community saw the FYV logo and words, “We’ll help you... Find Your Voice”, would they immediately think of your chapter? The FYV marketing campaign, if used consistently, should do just that! Every time you promote your chorus within your community, use the FYV logo or tagline. The FYV marketing materials are designed to be upbeat and fun. “We’ll help you… Find Your Voice”, “Ordinary women creating extraordinary music”, “Discover Harmony”. What woman wouldn’t want to join! All FYV marketing materials can be found in the “Marketing Materials” in the FYV Resources.

11 Discussion Time Are you wondering how other choruses have used FYV to grow their membership? Look in the FYV “Membership Tools and Resources” section. There you will find chapter success stories, helpful articles and ideas from chapters that have been successful growing their membership with FYV. Now it’s time to ask questions and share ideas! Questions? Roundtable Discussion
