News from PNPI Presented by N. Bondar for B. Bochin Cagliari 8/10/2015.

Spare chambers production All of chamber part collected at CERN ( B156) are packed. Paperwork together with PNPI almost completed: All names and other terms already settled with Lily Tax free paper received Shipping request prepared according Lily’s requirements One small problem – documents for epoxy are not ready – it should be send later (approximately one more month) All materials already packed and labelled according Lily’s documents. Optimistic plan for shipment – send material as soon as Lily will be ready to get them. Parts from Italy

All materials already packed and labelled according Lily’s documents. Pallete 1 Pallete 2 Pallete 3 Pallete 4

Boris is planning start production with M2R4 chambers form the next week using spare parts from the previous production run. He hope that in a 2 weeks material will delivered to PNPI Spare chambers production

All documents for full scale prototype already prepared and sent for boards production. Unfortunately production is not completed. According my understanding - because of the company asked to adopt all documents to there technology. M2R2 prototype chambers

How to fit proportional chambers to M2R1 and M3R1 positions Very preliminary proposal for discussion N.Bondar CERN 24/06/2015.

X1X1 X2X2 X3X3 Y2Y2 Y1Y1 Y3Y3 Beam pipe M2R1 and M3R1 chamber position near beam plug X1*Y1 –the chamber sensitive window Y3 –chamber frame X2, X3, Y2 – chamber frame with front-end Important note: To fit the detector layout we keep the same sizes for X2 and Y3. Can we change ??? For M2R1: X1*Y1 = 320mm x 265mm Y3 =40mm X2, X3, Y2 = ~70mm Positioning of M2R1 and M3R1 chambers near beam pipe Chamber’s sizes

Electronics positioning on chambers HV filter LV regulator 9 amplifiers (vertical position) 11 amplifiers (vertical position) 4 amplifiers (flat position) Option: LV regulators may be located outside of the chamber. Advantage – reducing of emitted heat in the middle of station in factor 1.4

How to place electronics vertically SPB and FEB assembly New SPB Match to Cardiac board Cross board Top viewBottom view Cross board creates bi-gaps and turns FEB’s connector for 90 degree

Vertical FEBs cabling Control cables Output signal cables

32 ch 72 ch 88 ch Signal output pin layout Question: Can we completely change the pads numbering? Actually it is better to make pad connections as short as possible.
