2 Lexington Green Today looking towards the area where the militia stood – Right of the flag pole where the people are located under the tree.

7 This is the view that some of the militiamen would have had of the British as they approached the bridge. You are looking towards the bridge over the Concord River. Just past that bridge is the “Old Manse” which 100 years later would later serve as a gathering place for such literary greats as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry Thoreau and others Bridge Old Manse

10 The road back to Boston from Concord was lined by stone walls such as the one pictured here. The militia would hid behind walls such as these, trees or other such cover.
