2 Subject Pronouns Take the place of a noun that is used as the subject of the sentence. They are found at the beginning of a phrase or clause. Ask who or what is doing the action. Ex. We won the game. I you he, she, it, we they

3 Object Pronouns Take the place of a noun that is used as the object of the sentence. They are found near the end of a phrase or clause. Ask what the action is happening to. Ex. The coach called them off the field. me you him, her, it us them

4 Possessive Pronouns These pronouns show ownership. Ex. That is my book. That book is mine. my, mine your, yours his, her, hers, its our, ours their, theirs

5 Reflexive Pronouns Reflexive pronouns refer back to the subject of the sentence. Ex. I gave myself plenty of time to study. Jim bought himself a new video game. myself yourself himself, herself, itself ourselves themselves

6 Other Pronouns Demonstrative – show a particular object ◦ this, that, these, those Interrogative – used in a question ◦ who, what, which, whoever, whatever, whichever Indefinite – refers to something not specific ◦ all, any, each, everyone, anyone, someone, nobody, few
