1 MyKindaCrowd & Skills for Care Challenge MyKindaCrowd and Skills for Care want you to design a unique piece of marketing collateral that will inspire young people to move into a career in adult social care.

2 The Challenge We want you to think how you would inspire young people to move into a career in adult social care. In your entry remember to think about why young people would want a career in adult social care and what the benefits are for working in the sector. You can use any form of media when you submit your entry, for example:  Leaflet  Storyboard  Radio advert  Vine  Video  Poster…the list goes on. Be as creative as you want and think outside the box! What do you have to do?

3 The Prize First… You will have the opportunity to work with a member of the Skills for Care Marketing team to develop your idea Then… Your work showcased on an exhibition stand at the Skills for Care Annual Conference in March 2015. And that’s not all… You will also have the choice to do work experience in a social care setting! What will you get?

4 The Sector  Adult social care is one of the few sectors guaranteed to grow in the coming years, which is why it is a great career path for young people to consider.  The sector currently employs 1.63 million people and Skills for Care estimates by 2025 that figure could rise as high as 3.1 million!  The growth in the sector is largely due to the increasing numbers of older people needing specialised care.  This growing demand increases job security for workers and is a positive sign for those starting out a career in adult social care. A bit of background…
