3 Language Objective Students will… Practice identifying collocations in a sentence or expression while playing sports and hobbies collocations game. Construct a spelling pattern using the long vowels ai, ay, eigh; ee, ea, ei. Locate the subject pronouns and possessive pronouns using their handouts and worksheet.

5 What are collocations? Words that appear together and form an expression. They have their own meanings.

13 What are Pronouns? It takes the place of a noun. Is used as substitute for proper and common nouns. They indicate number, gender and person.

14 The words "I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they" are subject pronouns. They refer to a person or thing in speech or in writing.

18 What is a Possessive Pronoun? A pronoun that shows ownership. The words "mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs" are possessive pronouns. They show who or what something belongs to.
