2. Philosophy of Education I think that education is important for every student that enters a classroom. In order for a student to receive all they should from schools, I think that educators have to understand the importance of their jobs. Teachers have to love what they do for a living and have a relationship with the students. If a teacher provides a good education to each student in his / her classroom, a teacher will provide students with the tools necessary for success in life.

3. Teaching and learning become a journey for both the teacher and students when students' is excited by a teacher's genuine intensity for learning. If a teacher wants to achieve a active learning, he / she must show their enthusiasm and express confidence in their students' abilities to learn and be successful. “Employing constructivist methods of teaching in one's classroom forces students to take an active role in their education by making choices and assuming responsibility for intelligent inquiry and discovery” Newman (2013). Classrooms should have discussions, projects, and tests to ensure student achievement and allow students and the teacher to see what student's preferences and strengths are.

Research main topics because there may be new information available through technology. D. Find ways to integrate subjects to make them interesting to the class. E. See if there is anything interactive and exciting to add through technology.

6. V. Have a Assessment Book A. Keep notes on students, which will also include their pre-assessment. B. Assess in different areas. C. Keep track of good things they do. D. Keep track of how many reminders they get in a day (keep daily records or yourself and parents). E. If parental contact becomes necessary keep records.

11. School Models I like how the Khan Academy was different from traditional schooling. The academy is a good supplement and good for motivated students. It is good for home schooling. Khan didn’t think it would be something that would somehow penetrate the classroom. But then the Khan Academy started receiving letters from teachers. The teachers would write saying how they are using the videos to flip the classroom. In the video it talked about how teachers assign the lectures for homework, and what used to be homework, teachers now have the students doing in the classroom. When teachers are doing that, there’s a benefit, the benefit that now their students can enjoy the videos. Students can pause, repeat at their own pace, at their own time. This is the unintuitive thing when you talk about technology in the classroom, by removing the one-size- fits-all lecture from the classroom and letting students have a self- pace lecture at home. This allows the teachers to be more available to the students if needed (Khan, 2011).

12. Effective Lesson Plans and Designs The most important part to a effective lesson plan design is writing good learning objectives. It should be planned out for each individual student learning style in the classroom. The information in the plan should be clear and understanding for the students. Lesson plans designs should also list the students goals and assessments.

13. Assessment Matters The roles of assessment and evaluation in schools are used to show what the teachers are teaching and what the students are learning. Assessments are used to assist student learning, identify student’s strengths and weakness, assess the effectiveness of the strategy, assess and improve the effectiveness of the curriculum and communicate and involve the parents. They are helpful for teacher to gain insight on the lesson plan and feedback for the students. Assessments should be planned with a purpose in mind. As an educator we are going to have reteach what students need to learn. It seems as if the education system is always coming up with assessment to see what the students are learning, when in fact a lot of times what they are being assessed on is not taught in the classrooms, “We‘re investing a lot of time and a lot of effort in trying to make things better when in fact we may be making things worse (Stecher, 2011).
