Double the Outdoor Economy With the goal to create millions of new jobs and generate roughly $700 million in new annual economic activity. Increase in Renewable Energy Capacity A goal of ten-fold increase of capacity on public lands and waters within ten years. Establish American Parks Trust Fund An effort to scale up and modernize the manner in which the country’s public lands and parks are protected. Access to Lands for Hunting, Fishing, and Recreation Make 50% of lands currently inaccessible to the public open for the use of recreation and recreational sports. Improve Water Security Initiatives to insure water security in the West and across the nation with efforts to improve infrastructure and develop new technologies. Restore and Revitalize Parks Focus an initiative on improving and rehabilitating more than 3,000 city parks in ten years.

GoalPolicy Actions Double the Outdoor Economy Dedicate Small Business Administration loans to entrepreneurs for outdoor industries Fully fund the Environmental Quality Incentives Program under the FDA to better support ranchers, farmers, and landowners working to conserve land Instruct the Department of Commerce to measure outdoor economic metrics Establish American Parks Trust Fund Mission to expand, rehabilitate, and enhance the outdoor spaces both in forests and national parks Tribal nations would be directly eligible for funding to restore their lands Fund would replace Land and Water Conservation Fund doubling its current authorization levels Improve Water Security Establishing the Water Innovation Lab to develop technologies that improve water efficiency and extend supplies Forming the Western Water Partnership to fund water efficiency, conservation, and infrastructure modernization projects Triple investments in Bureau of Reclamation WaterSMART program Renewable Energy Capacity on Public Lands Establish “Good Neighbor Renewable Energy Partnership” program which allows communities to install community based solar on nearby public lands Reform fossil fuel leasing, raise labor standards for renewable energy installed on public lands Restore and Revitalize City Parks Restoring, updating, and investing in certain recreational programs Investing $40 million annually in the Urban Parks and Recreation Recovery Program Allocating $10 million to AmeriCorps to support opportunities for Americans to directly revitalize recreational sites Increased Access to Public Lands Establishing programs to create access points to at least 2 million acres of public lands that are currently inaccessible Fight efforts to convert public lands into private lands Detailed Policy Actions to Meet Public Lands Goals 2
