1 30-Second Pitch Are you a dog owner who cares for your As a parent, you constantly worry about who they’re hanging out with and where they’re hanging out….When I say they, I’m not talking about kids, I’m talking about dogs! Just like their owners, dogs are social animals that like to hang out with other dogs. Dog owners in urban areas walk their dogs at least once a day for exercise, but it’s tough for owners to find other, friendly dogs for their pet to play with and to find restaurants that allow them to hang out with their pets. Our app, Pup Pals, solves these problems through three awesome features. First, dog owners can use Pup Pal’s GPS system to find other dogs when they take their pet out for its daily walk. Second, Pup Pals allows users to schedule play dates at local dog parts. Third, Pup Pals lets users locate dog friendly restaurants – and allows them to purchase discount coupons to use at the restaurant! Interested in becoming a Pup Pals user? 7 Business Model What is the business model for your app? – Virtual Goods: Pup Pals will partner with dog friendly restaurants and allow users to purchase discount coupons from these restaurants What is your selling price? – Pup Pals will make $1 on each coupon purchased Why did you choose this business model and pricing strategy? – We chose this model because we want to have reoccurring revenue and because our competitors don’t charge for their apps. After surveying restaurant owners, we found that they would be willing to pay us $1 for each coupon purchased because our app will increase the number of customers they serve.
