Affixes= Prefix Syllables or words that are added at the beginning of a word to form a new one. Examples: Syllables: re-try Il-logic Words : aero-dynamic Shoe-store Note: Sometimes meaning of new words change completely with the prefix. Suffix Syllables or words added at the end of a word to build a new one. Examples: Syllables : Booklet beggar Words: mailman brotherhood Note: Words with suffixes may change meaning or maintain the same or close to the same meaning.
