2. Why do export? Definition -  The term "export" is derived from its conceptual meaning as to ship the goods and services out of the port of a country.  The seller of such goods and services is referred to an "exporter" who is based in the country of export whereas the overseas based buyer is referred to as an "importer".

3. Why do export?  Since it is basically an exchange of capital, goods, and services across international borders or territories, it is also referred to as International trade.  International trade is a major source of economic revenue for any nation that is considered a world power. Without international trade, nations would be limited to the goods and services produced within their own borders.

4. Philippine Trade Policies  1987 Constitution:  ARTICLE II DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES AND STATE POLICIES PRINCIPLES Section 7. The State shall pursue an independent foreign policy. In its relations with other states, the paramount consideration shall be national sovereignty, territorial integrity, national interest, and the right to self- determination.

Private enterprises, including corporations, cooperatives, and similar collective organizations, shall be encouraged to broaden the base of their ownership.
