2 The Rockefeller Foundation has operated the Bellagio Center for over 50 years, offering residencies and meeting opportunities to scholars, artists, writers, scientists, policymakers, and other professionals. The Center is located in Bellagio, in the northern lake district of Italy.

3 The Bellagio Center community generates new knowledge to solve some of the most complex problems facing our world and creates art that inspires reflection, understanding, and imagination. The Bellagio Residency Program

4 Scholars, artists, thought leaders, policymakers and practitioners Unparalleled opportunity to establish new connections with residents, across a stimulating array of disciplines & geographies Serene setting conducive to focused, goal-oriented work

5 The Bellagio Residency Program offers: Four week residencies, with accommodations and meals at no cost, for individuals in any discipline and from any part of the world. The Center also offers team residencies for two-to-four people working together on a project Private studios for individual work during the day

6 Travel stipends and small monetary awards are given to selected residents High-speed Internet service is available to all residents Spouses and life partners may accompany residents, or apply for concurrent residencies The Bellagio Residency Program offers:

10 The Community: Artists Three to five creative artists are generally in residence at any given time. Composers, literary artists, playwrights, poets, videographers, filmmakers, and visual artists are welcome to apply. Paul Kelemba, Political Cartoonist Nairobi, Kenya
