24 Schedule for Success Take at least 15 credits each semester –Increases likelihood student will be successful in first year –Improves chances student will graduate

25 Schedule for Success Take an ISEM or humanities/social science course that really interests you Balance difficult courses Take elective courses just for fun Get some exercise

26 Creating a schedule What to include: 1.Appropriate English Course 2.ISEM 101 or Humanities/Social Science 3.Appropriate Math and/or Science Course 4.Introductory Course in your Major 5.P.E., elective, etc.

28 Rules of thumb: 1.For every hour of class time, you will have to study two hours out of class. 2.Papers always take longer to write than you think they will. 3.Math is a foreign language. You should practice it everyday.
