2. Presentation Design  Limit the use of text Short, bulleted text is best Use graphics instead of text, if possible  Limit the number of slides  Each slide should have a title

3. Slide Design  Remain consistent with slide theme throughout  Background Dark with light text or vice versa. (A dark background with white font reduces glare)  Transitions Avoid distracting transitions Consistent throughout (no “random” transitions)

4. Visual Elements  Remain consistent with font sizes and types Fonts should be large enough so that they can be easily seen  Use clear, simple graphics or visuals Place your graphics in a similar location within each screen Avoid animations that are distracting

5. Charts and Graphs  Should be clearly labeled Title Label both axes Provide a key when necessary  Avoid using a table containing numbers - use graphs instead Make sure that graph is appropriate type of data represented

6. Presentation  Face your audience at all times  Summarize main points (do not read directly from the slide)  Print notes for yourself
