3 Alfa Shopping Centre is located in the building of the former Society of Bialystok Manufactories Factories 'E. Becker and Company' The front wall of 'Mercury‘ warehouse in 2006

4 Factory building was built between 1895-1911 and since 1910 production of wool and silk began. During World War II the buildings were seriously destroyed, and rebuilt afterwards. 'E. Becker and Company‘ factory in 1920

7 The design was created by architect Maciej Kurylowicz. The idea was to adopt the factory buildings in to a modern and stylish shopping complex.

8 As recommended by the conservator, the former red- brick factory building and stables from 191 1, have been preserved.

10 The building has been left in its original form. T he yellow brick s from the fifties of the twentieth century ha ve been cleaned and the roof has been replaced. This part of the mall houses a spacious coffe shop.

12 Original construction of the building has been strengthened, the elevation and the sculpture of Mercury have been renovated. Red brick has been cleaned.

18 The ‘ ALFA ’ shopping mall has created many new workplaces: in shops, banks, service shops, restaurants, a cinema and administrative offices.

19 The ‘Alfa’ centre has total of 86,000 square meters, 150 shops situated on three floors. There is a cinema with seven rooms, restaurants, climbing wall and a fountain on the first floor. In the underground level is a car par k for nearly 800 cars.

20 Alfa Center attracts with interesting architecture, in which the old factory buildings coexist with modern and high quality interior design, location in the city center and proficient communication solutions.

21 Magazine Construction & Investment Journal found Alpha to be the best 2008 shopping cent er in Central and Eastern Europe. It was also among the 15 candidates for the Shopping Cent er 2009 prize, nominated in the category of downtown Mall of the Year.
