2. What does this mean for your child? Students will apply concepts and procedures they have learned and transfer them to new situations they have never seen before. Students will persevere through problem solving – some of the most valuable learning comes from analyzing their own work and the work of others.

3. Common Core Math in Penfield This is the second year of implementation of Common Core in math for grades 3-8 and the first year of implementation in Regents Algebra. Teachers are using various Common Core aligned resources to deliver instruction – including NYS modules & Ready Math books
