The Tiger Clause: Our Student Pledge We, the students of Thompson, pledge to: Be on time everyday and put forth our best effort by participating in the learning opportunities offered to us, demonstrate good character at all times and take responsibility for our actions. We pledge to make our school a positive, caring environment in which we respect our differences and where we pull others up instead of putting them down. Wilson, 2014

Character Counts! Pillar of the Month: CARING Pay it Forward! A Random Act of Kindness is a really fun way to demonstrate how we care about other people. It can be people we know or we may choose to show this kindness to someone we don’t know so well. Either way, it usually has a snowball effect! Try to show a random act of kindness this week. Here are some ideas, but you can probably think of a lot more! Leave a treat for someone Write a note to your parents or teacher about why you admire them Call your Grandparents Help your younger brother or sister with their homework Hold the door for someone Do a chore for someone at home Let someone go in front of you in line Wilson, 2015
