1. Countable, Uncountable Nouns Countable Nouns: things that can be counted with numbers. eg. 1.One book, two books 2.One pen, two pens 3.A car, an hour And they have singular form “book” and plural form “books”. With the singular form we can use “a/an”.

2. Uncountable Uncountable nouns: things that cannot be counted in numbers. People use to talk about amount of these items not numbers. eg. 1.Water is important. 2.Rice is my favorite dish. Also they don’t have plural form “waters” And they can’t take “a/an” They are always considered singular.

3. Some and any We use some in affirmative statements and affirmative questions with (plural nouns) and uncountable nouns. eg. 1.There’s some milk in the glass. 2.Would you like some spaghetti? 3.There are some cars in the street. 4.Are there some cars in the street?

4. Any We use any with negative statements and negative and affirmative questions countable and uncountable. Eg. 1.There aren’t any plates in the table. 2.Do you have any information about the accident? 3.Isn’t there any fish?
