4 Why study history? 1. Read the quotes provided. 2. Select 1 to answer the following questions:  What does the speaker say about history? Explain the meaning of the quote in your own words.  Do you agree or disagree? Support your answer!

9  Be on time!  Upon entering the room, pick up your Chromebook and check the side counter and pick up any necessary handouts and/or materials.  Sharpen your pencil before class begins.  Sit in your assigned seat, write down your homework assignment in your agenda, and begin the warm-up immediately!  Remain in your seat unless otherwise instructed.  Raise your hand to speak.  Be RESPECTFUL of our class and your classmates!  Do your very best each and every class period!  Complete assignments on time!  Follow all behavior rules and expectations of Community House! The school discipline plan will be strictly enforced.

11 1. Study! It is important to study for all quizzes and tests. Keep your notes and handouts organized to help with quiz/ test preparation. 2. Complete all assignments on time. It is much easier to keep-up than to catch-up! If absent, check the Wiki page to help keep up with missed homework. 3. Follow classroom rules/ procedures. 4. Ask for help and never, ever give up! 5. Stay organized!
