2.  Shrek starts out in his own swamp but is always harassed by people.  Shrek is an ogre so he lives by himself and then comes along donkey.

3.  Shrek’s swamp is invaded by fairy tale creatures and is forced to go see the king so he can get his swamp back to himself.  By then donkey is the only one who can take him to see the king.

4.  Shrek is denied the right to go on the journey to go get the princes for the king because he's an ogre. The only exception is the he does it for his swamp back.

5.  Shrek had to embark on a journey with donkey who is a wimp. Shrek has no problem with going over a rickety bridge over lava.

6.  Everything is normal until they get to the castle. He crossed the bridge and everything was new to him because the castle was old and falling apart.

7.  Shrek soon finds out that there is a dragon waiting there and he has to get the princes and donkey out fast or be fried.

8.  Shrek's major challenge is having to fall in love with a human princes and he's a ogre. He over hears princes and donkey talking and hears  “…who could ever love a hideous ugly beast…” he just didn’t know she was talking about herself.

9.  Shrek gets the princes to the castle and starts to leave. He loves her so the king is going to kill him. He is saved by donkey and the dragon and has just enough time to kiss the princes and she turns into an ogre.

10.  Shrek has the princes now but the king is not dead and out of the way. The king sends our guards to kill Shrek and Fiona.

11.  Shrek is willing to stand up towards the king but the king is then eaten by the dragon.

12.  Shrek and Fiona then go back to the swamp with donkey and live there without all of the fairy tale creatures.
