5 Fundraising Goals 2016-2019 Goal 1 Overall Target Development will secure at least a 30% increase in total funding compared to January 2015 By the end of Dec 2016 30%, by Dec 2017 40%, by Dec 2018 50%, Goal 2 Prospective Funders Development will solicit 10 new potential funders and secure 2 small and 2 large institutional funders compared to January 2015 Goal 3 Funder Renewals Development will retain 80% of funding compared to January 2015 By the end of Dec 2016 80%, by Dec 2017 80%, by Dec 2018 80% Overall target of raising *$900,000 a year to sustain CC programs.

8 Reasons Cited for Funding Declines EIDHR Relevancy of the proposed actions with  The objectives and priorities of the call for proposals  The needs and constraints of the target country  Clear definition of needs and strategic input from stakeholder groups in Uzbekistan (final beneficiaries, target groups)  Value added elements (promotion of gender equality, environmental issues, needs of disabled people, rights of minorities) Design  Analysis of the problems involved, accounting of external factors, and relevant stakeholders.  Are the proposed actions feasible and consistent in relation to objectives and expected results? UK FCO office in Tashkent The Cotton sector forms only a part of the developing dialogue between the Uzbek authorities and the ILO. The ILO feedback mechanism enabled members of civil society to provide input to the monitoring process. According to the ILO, this provided considerable useful data.

The more relevant is the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), but other funding opportunities can arise through its funding instruments dedicated to CSOs and Non State Actors. Call for proposals can be a one-step (Full proposal) or two-step procedure (Concept Note and Full Proposal). Their application procedure and bureaucracy is quite intense so it is advisable to not leave anything last minute.
