Issue a warning order- Initial instructions to begin preparations, provide updates frequently! * The mission or nature of the operation. Who is participating in the operation. Time of the operation. Time and place for issuance of the operation order Step 3. Make a tentative plan- Self explanatory; develops an estimate of the situation to use as the basis for his tentative plan

Step 4. Start necessary movement- subordinate leaders prepare men, weapons and equipment for the coming mission (Rehearsals) weapons check etc. Step 5. Reconnoiter- the leader must make a map reconnaissance (LDAC scenario) Step 6. Complete the plan- leader completes his plan based on the reconnaissance and any changes in the situation ; review prior to briefing aloud!!!

Step 7. Issue the complete order- Leaders must ensure that subordinates understand the mission, the commander's intent, the concept of the operation, and their assigned tasks ; Furthermore quiz your subordinates to ensure they understand!!!! Step 8. Supervise- The leader supervises the unit's preparation for combat by conducting rehearsals and inspections

1. Once SQDL and Team Leaders designated immediately assign security wATL and BTL 2. Select an RTO (preferably someone whom you have a great deal of confidence in, proven) 3. Receive your OPORD in conjunction w/ RTO (Have shell pre-written in Notebook, Synchronize watch with TAC, to ensure punctuality 4. Once OPORD is received, RTO should have calculated distance and direction to OBJ; Confirm both with TAC (use call signs) 5. Request Security from designated SQD; Once this is completed, you and your TL’s may begin rehearsals!!!!

6. While Fire teams practice tasks assigned (SOP), touch up your OPORD and prepare it for briefing; at this point your RTO should prep TMK 7. Call in Teams to brief OPORD (Ensure security has been granted by this point, if not request again!!! 8. Common mistake orient TMK in direction of travel: BRIEF OPORD; be cognizant of time (1/3, 2/3 Rule) 9. Conduct a thorough back brief, avoid common q’s; ensure your subordinates are as familiar w/ Mission as you are; their understanding is a direct indication of your success!!!!!!

10. Execute rehearsals, Utilize step drill, contingency plans, Confirm Direction of travel (Azimuths) Pace counts, COVER ANY AND ALL BASES 11. Prior to departure, conduct final PCI of all members, check loose equip etc. Call to higher for permission to cross LD (Be on Time!) 12. SOP’s should be established by this point, utilize hand and arm signals, minimize talking; check spacing etc. 13. SLLS halt, dictated by Point man, ensure rear element faces outward to have 360 Security! Pick up and cont. mvmt

14. Establish ERRP’s at defendable and distinguishable locations, ensure all members are aware of these ERRP’s!!!! 15. If you encounter personnel en route, have established perimeter/security SOP’s!, Loss of security will result in endangerment of your SQD; Furthermore communicate distance traveled throughout entire SQD 16. Establish ORP, this should be taken by force and security should be established immediately based on SQD SOP 17. Once security in place, call forth key leadership for Leaders Recon and 5 point dissemination

18. Leave Assaulting TL in charge of ORP, take with you 2 personnel for RP, 2 for a recon team and your RTO to travel with you for your return. 19. Leave 2 men at RP, with GOTWA, conduct recon, leave 2 men w/ eyes on OBJ (should anything change upon your absence)leave w/ them a GOTWA 20. Return via your RP and back to your ORP, for dissemination of info to all SQD members 21. Gather all team members and move out of ORP to OBJ, link up w/ RP collect, and continue forward to OBJ

22. Link up w/ Support by Fire team and gather any new info; lay Support by fire team, as predetermined by BTL 23. Begin Actions on OBJ(Attack) Cyclic fire; Maneuver etc. Once enemies eliminated, secure OBJ and begin calling in Specialty teams 24.
