8 SOPHOMORE COMPONENT  A series of online inventories and activities that help students consider how their interests match with general career paths and specific careers

9 SOPHOMORE COMPONENT  Completed in advisory  We will begin work on the Career Plan in February

10 CB West advisories will personalize the school experience for all students. The program is designed to create smaller communities in which each student will have regular contact with a staff member from the first day of sophomore year until graduation day. Advisories will guide each student through the development of his or her Career Plan. In addition, students will receive guidance and support in study skills, life skills, and career education. Advisories will facilitate the transition from middle school to high school and help students prepare for life after graduation.

12 The “new” PSAT will prepare students for the “new” SAT, available in March 2016 The new PSAT will provide great practice for the new SAT. Results are NOT sent to any college, and do not show up on CB West transcript. Test will be given at CB West on WEDNESDAY, October 14, 2015, from 7:25 – 11am. To register, go to www.MyPaymentsPlus.com, create a free account, and use your student’s ID number. Cost is $16. Registration open until October 2. Late registrants are not guaranteed a test. www.MyPaymentsPlus.com

13  Get an ePrep Account!  ePrep is a free, online test preparation service for Central Bucks students.  To create account, students must see the Librarian, Ms. Graney. (Students need an email address to set up account).  ePrep provides preparation for:  PSAT’s  SAT’s  ACT’s  Features include 1000’s of expert video tutorials; vocabulary lists; personalized study schedules; and full-length practice tests.
