Educational system in Czech republic 3 years- nursery school, kindergarden (rarely creches) 6 years- ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS (compulsory for everybody) - two cycles: 1st class- 5th class- FIRST CYCLE 6th class- 10th class- SECOND CYCLE Secondary education: 1) grammar schools (8 years, 6 years, 4 years) 2) special scools – technical colleges, engineering, commerce 3) vocational schools- training for job immediatelly -Secondary education lasts for 4 years -The leaving examination after those 4 years -Charles University (1348), Masarykova un., Palackého, etc..

My school- Gymnázium Boženy Němcové Božena Němcová- Czech most famous female writer -1820-1862 - „Divá Bára“, „Babička“, „V zámku a podzámčí“ Our school was founded in 1978 Firstly only small school (Šimkova street) 1983- Pospíšilova street (700 students) 14 specialized classrooms, laboratories, playground, gym 500 students, 43 teachers, a school singing group (choirmaster Mr. Schejbal), a french theatre group
