2 Congress of Vienna Meetings for a European peace plan so no wars ever break out again (1814 – 1815). The goal of the Congress was to fix all of the problems that arose from the French Revolution and Napoleon. Leader of the Congress of Vienna was Klemens von Metternich.

4 Results of C of V Establishes a balance of power in Europe. Surrounded France with strong countries so no one country would be stronger and a threat to others. Restores power to the original rulers before Napoleon (legitimacy). New political philosophies emerge (liberal vs conservative)
