5 How do I earn a high school credit? Pass the class with at least a 65 average 65 = D If final average falls below a 65, student must attend summer school to make-up credit If student does not pass summer school or chooses not to attend he/she must repeat the class the next school year

10 Credits Required for Graduation Students must earn 25.5 credits to receive a SOTA diploma For a RCSD diploma, students must earn 22 credits must meet same core academic requirements as SOTA diploma 4 English 4 Social Studies 3 Math 3 Science 8 Arts 1 Foreign Language 2 Physical Education ½ Health

11 Diploma Types ~ Regents Diploma All students who started 9 th grade in September 2008 and beyond must meet Regents diploma standards: 65+ on the following 5 exams…  Global Studies  US History  English Common Core  1 Math Regents exam  1 Science Regents exam

12 Diploma Types ~ Advanced Regents Diploma Must meet Regents diploma requirements, including also passing the following exams: Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra 2 & Trig exams Language Checkpoint B** **Exemption if completion of 5 credit sequence in fine arts 2 nd Science Regents exam 1 exam must be Living Environment
