What if I Fail a Required Course? You must repeat the course either in Summer School or the following year.
What if I Fail a Required Exam? You must pass the exam in order to graduate. An exam preparation course or AIS will be put into your schedule (when available) to help you to pass the examination.
What is an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors? The highest diploma distinction you can receive in high school. You must attain an overall average of 90% or higher on the required regents examination.
What are Honors Level Classes? Higher caliber classes within a required discipline More work, more independence, weighted grade Honors classes begin in grade 10 and require an application
Why take Honors classes? Colleges recognize that students who take honors level classes are better prepared for college and are willing to challenge themselves.
