2 LEARNBOOST ONLINE GRADEBOOK ▪ https://www.learnboost.com/ https://www.learnboost.com/ ▪ With LearnBoost I found it is really easy to use. I enjoyed the feature that once you put the number grade in the percentage grade came up right away. I liked the organization of LearnBoost. The students names are clear and easy to find. I feel there would be a less likely chance for mistakes by using LearnBoost. I think electronic gradebooks are awesome and would defiantly use them in a classroom setting. I think electronic gradebooks would be the more efficient choice for teachers.

3 BENIFITS OF USING ELECTRONIC GRADEBOOKS ▪ Parents can see the grades online, which means (theoretically) that parents will not call teachers constantly wanting to know his/her student's average. ▪ Teachers can write comments for parents to view. ▪ Accessible from any computer...on campus or off campus, so many find such programs extremely convenient. ▪ Parents usually view their student's grades and discipline activity online. ▪ Grades are accurate as human error is no longer part of the equation, as long as teachers key in the correct grades.

4 DISADVANTAGES OF USING ELECTRONIC GRADEBOOKS ▪ Parents and students demand to know their grades shortly after an assessment is given. ▪ Administrators have access to electronic grade books and know what teachers have keyed in grades and what teachers have not keyed in grades. ▪ As with technology, reliability of the internet is a factor. If the Internet at one's school is not reliable, such programs may be difficult to use. ▪ Schools have to invest money in computer servers to back up and store such data. ▪ Security is an issue. Such programs need to be secure so that hackers cannot see the stored data. Students will attempt to steal teacher's passwords and hack into such programs.

5 MY EXPERIENCE WITH ELECTRONIC GRADEBOOKS ▪ I found using the electronic grade books to be very easy. I liked how most of the gradebooks were set up. I explored LearnBoost the most and found it was well organized. I liked that it was divided up into sections such as, attendance, gradebook, lesson plans, reporting and parent/student. I think by using an electronic gradebook parents and students can stay on top of the students progress. I think electronic gradebooks will eliminate excuses from parents or students keeping things from their parents, such as bad grades or important events coming up in the school year. I do think electronic gradebooks will improve parent and teacher relationships and communication.
