2 07/12/2010 Is a web-based application designed for use by teachers in the classroom, at home or anywhere with Internet access. Is fully integrated with the RSCCC/iTCCS Student Information Systems. NO uploads or downloads are necessary. Supports five different user types: teachers, district and/or campus administrators with update capabilities or inquiry only rights. Straight forward and easy to use. Superior support provided by the ESCs. Extremely cost effective!

5 07/12/2010 The announcements displayed on this page are maintained in the SIS at both the district and campus level.

6 07/12/2010 To access any of the Settings pages, click on the Settings tab to display this menu or use the links in the sub-menu.

7 07/12/2010 This page allows the teacher to change their password or PIN, update Hint Questions or enter their phone number, e-mail address and a note for parents to view in txConnect. Note, the option to combine courses for attendance posting. By checking this box, course- sections that meet the same period of the day will be grouped together on the Post/View Attendance page.

8 07/12/2010 Allows teachers to customizes student order. Teacher’s can select whether new students should appear at the top or bottom of the list. Alpha order is the default.

9 07/12/2010 Percentage – weights must total 100%. Point – the total will initially be zero and will increment automatically as assignments are added to the category. Multiplier – allows the teacher to designate how many times a group of assignments will be counted towards the average. Color Coding of Categories

11 This page allows the teacher to build the assignments that will be administered for the selected course-section. A teacher may also enter an assignment note which can be viewed in txConnect. By checking the Extra Credit box, the assignment can only help the student’s grade.

15 The Seating Chart Setup page allows you to create and maintain seating charts for all of your classes. The seating chart lists the student name, gender, and ID and photos if available. The seats are color- coded by gender. Student seats can be rearranged at any time.

16 07/12/2010 On this page, the teacher may post attendance for a given period or view attendance that has already been posted.

17 07/12/2010 Once posted in the grade book, attendance must be changed in the SIS by the Attendance Clerk.

24 To access any of the Grades pages, click on the Grades tab to display this menu or use the links in the sub-menu.

25 07/12/2010 This page allows the teacher to enter student assignment grades. The page may be populated using multiple selection criteria, including students withdrawn from the course.

26 07/12/2010 A red ‘T’ represents a Transfer Walk-In Average. Once a weight is assigned to the grade, the icon will remain blue for the remainder of the cycle. This grade will be factored into the student’s working cycle average. Assignments due before the student enters the course are automatically excluded from the cycle average.

27 07/12/2010 A red note represents an assignment that has been excluded from the student’s working cycle average. An orange note labels an assignment as a redo or late. Comments may be added at the assignment level and may be selected to print on the IPR.

28 07/12/2010 The txGradebook also supports Incomplete and Missing assignment grades. A Missing (M) assignment will count as a zero while and Incomplete (I) will make any averages incomplete until a grade is entered.

29 07/12/2010 The teacher also has the option to exclude an assignment for all students or auto-fill the assignment with a specific grade. To save changes made on the assignment grades page, the teacher must enter their PIN and click Save Grades.

31 07/12/2010 The teacher may click on the posted cycle average for each student to display additional information posted in a previous cycle.

35 07/12/2010 By entering an average in the field below and clicking Select, the list to choose from will be condensed. This page gives the teacher several options for printing IPRs.

50 The Missing Exam Grades Report produces a report of students who are missing semester exam grades.

54 The Attendance Verification Report Selection page allows teachers to produce a report showing attendance for all students for a selected course section and date range. Teachers can view data for up to one semester. Teachers can also generate a summary report that displays only totals for the selected date range.

59 A district administrative user may choose which campus and teacher grade book to access, while the campus administrative user may only select the teacher. The Synchronize Data button should be used to update the settings defined in the SIS Grade Reporting and Attendance headers.

61 The administrator may click on the current cycle average for any course in the schedule to display the category and assignment detail.
