S-ID.B.6c Fit a linear function for a scatter plot that suggests a linear association. IMPACT SAMR Cover Sheet Task OverviewLearning Objective(s)Suggested Technology Groups create a data set through research, make a Word document containing the data set and instructions and template for the graph and prediction equation to go with the data. Then they attach it to a QR code to be accessed and completed by another group and submit it. Write an equation of a trend line and line of best fit and use a trend line and a line of best fit. Graph data from chart and find regression equations using Desmos. Record the correlation coefficient and use the regression equation to make a prediction. Write an equation of a trend line and line of best fit and use a trend line and a line of best fit. Watch a scatter plots and trend lines video and complete the Word handout. Write an equation of a trend line and line of best fit and use a trend line and a line of best fit. Take notes on a scatter plots and trend lines flipchart. Write an equation of a trend line and line of best fit and use a trend line and a line of best fit. Louisiana Math Standard (include description): Teacher: Julie Faulk MODIFICATION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable. REDEFINITION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable. AUGMENTATION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with some functional improvement. SUBSTITUTION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with no real change. transformation enhancement

Scatter Plots and Trend Lines 1.Listen and take notes from ActivInspire lesson. (attached) Write an equation of a trend line and line of best fit and use a trend line and a line of best fit. Learning Objective(s): List all that apply here. S SUBSTITUTION Technology acts a direct substitute, with no functional improvement

Scatter Plots and Trend Lines 1.Watch the video on Scatter Plots found on Blackboard. 2.Answer the questions pertaining to the video using handout1 provided in Word. Write an equation of a trend line and line of best fit and use a trend line and a line of best fit. This task uses: Learning Objective(s): List all that apply here. A Augmentation Technology acts a direct substitute, with functional improvement

Scatter Plots and Trend Lines 1.Using handout2 and the DESMOS app, enter the data from each of the 4 data pieces. 2.Find the regression equation for each and use it to find the prediction asked for. 3.Also, name the correlation coefficient and discuss its level of strength/weakness. This task uses: Learning Objective(s): List all that apply here. M Modification Technology allows significant task redesign Write an equation of a trend line and line of best fit and use a trend line and a line of best fit.

Scatter Plots and Trend Lines 1.Using Word, create a set of data within your group to be used to create a scatter plot and prediction equation. The data set should come from a reliable source on the internet (Ex U.S. Census Bureau). It should contain no more than 10 data points. 2.Create a QR code using Google URL shortener for your group’s data set. 3.Create a key for the resulting scatter plot and prediction equation and another QR code for the key. 4.Your group must then use the QR code from another group to complete their created assignment. 5.The original group will check their work using their key. Learning Objective(s): List all that apply here. R Redefinition Technology allows new tasks that Would not be possible without it. Write an equation of a trend line and line of best fit and use a trend line and a line of best fit.
