Petty - Pool Residential 25 th – 27 th May 2016

Wednesday 25 th May 2016 Arrive at school at the normal time but congregate in the hall. Bring a Packed Lunch Cars to be packed up and boarded by 9.30 Arrive at Petty Pool for 10.30

Organisation The day is split into 3: morning, afternoon and evening. Once the chalets have been assigned, the children will be organised into two groups for the activities. Children will be expected to do short tasks, clean pots away, tidy own chalets etc. All outdoor education staff are fully trained in all activities and health and safety aspects. There has been a full risk assessment that has been forwarded to county.

Itinerary Activities that we will be taking part includes; Rope courses Team Building activities (Low/High) Climbing / Abseiling Archery

Chalets The children will be assigned to chalets. Children will choose a buddy closer to the time. They will be responsible for the upkeep of their own chalet. There must be NO food drink or aerosols in the chalets. (Please do not send any food or drink with your child as it will be confiscated!)

Kit list Bedding will be provided. All Activity safety equipment is provided. Please bring: Appropriate clothing; Water Bottle; Wellingtons Old trainers for playing in! Suitable walking shoes Waterproof Jacket/Trousers/Coats Disposable cameras Please do not buy anything new. We can source waterproofs and wellingtons if required.

Additional Information On site there is: Canteen area for breakfast and team meetings Showers/Toilets in own chalets A games room Field and woodland areas An adventure style playground On activities we encourage but never force

Friday 27 th May 2016 Pack bags and complete tasks Choice of activity Final Review Depart approximately 2pm Arrive back at Scholar Green for 2.45 where children can be picked up early for a bath!!!

Medical Forms A form must be completed in order that we can administer medication. Inhalers must be kept on the child at all times and a spare with the group leader. We can only administer prescribed medication that you have provided. All medicines should be given to staff on the Wednesday morning. Any food allergies should be named on the form.
