The purpose of this session is to update you on the additional tools offered by Distech to save time and cost when using our products, and especially the ECLYPSE device. You will also see a live demo of how to quickly startup an ECLYPSE and use the associated tools.

14. Selection Tool
The first step before starting engineering and programming your ECLYPSE controller will be to quote the proper hardware which will exactly fit the requirements of your project.
For that purpose, Distech created the ECLYPSE Selection Tool that you can DL from our website. After entering the number and types of physical points needed on the system, the selection tool will provide the corresponding component’s list (including DIN rail, cables…)
This Excel worksheet is intended to calculate all components that constitute an ECLYPSE Connected System Controller
Once you have won the project, you can re-use the worksheet to prepare your order.

AHU Performance Assessment Rules (APAR) is a diagnostic tool that uses a set of expert rules derived from mass and energy balances to detect faults in air-handling units.
VAV box Performance Assessment Control Charts (VPACC) is a diagnostic tool that uses statistical quality control measures to detect faults or
control problems in VAV boxes.

Xpressgfx Points Is a new time saving tool that is added directly in your Microsoft Excel.
Xpressgfx Points allow you to create your points list and export it directly in your EC-gfxProgram.
That way, all your I/O points configuration can be done at the engineering level instead of duplicating the information between the system engineer and the programmers.
A new EC-gfxProgram file is then created with wiresheets that includes all your points list information starting from the I/O point name up to all alarms parameters, data range, filter and I/O default values. All I/O entered in XpressGFX Points show with even refernce Hub or monitor tag depending on the resources entered.
Another interesting feature is the Update function in the Xpressgfx Points.
This functions allows you to update directly your points list or either your EC-gfxProgram I/O configuration by simply synchronize the two files together. A great example of the use of this function is when you’re making your as built documentation. All the usual data duplicating is now past…Simply synchronize your points list with the last version of your EC-gfxProgram of your project.
We will show you later in this presentation a live demo of the Xpressgfx Points and its cool features!
