2 Manufacture status Foam block alignment jig – Making 2 sets – Main parts (alignment frame) have finished – End clamping pieces to be done, hopefully by middle of next week C channel placement jig – Making 2 sets – Main frame parts have finished – Side clamping pieces to be done, hopefully by the end of next week 1 of gluing bath jig (for gluing the top face sheet) 1 of masking ruler Other parts: – Allcomp foam blocks – machined the grooves for the cooling pipe and to the correct sizes (See back up slide for the procedures). – Z=0 End closeout (PEEK) – 2 off – Z=1.3 End closeout (PEEK) – 2 pairs – 10mm and 8mm in diameter location pins (4 off each) Later next week

4 C channel placement jig

5 New locking point: extended part to stave core Lock arm Proposed new locking point Need to know the locking point spacing. Does the locking point has to be placed between the two modules? (The current spacing showing on the drawing are arbitrary.) On the back face of the CF C channels, the square holes for the extended arm of the locking points into the stave core, need to be cut, before gluing to the face sheet. Locking arm housing will be glued to the face sheet after C channels are glued. (Tooling for this process needs to consider.) In-core locking arm housing
