This is a picture of some of the Jews getting onto the train taking them to Auschwitz. It was awful there, so many bad things happened to so many people. At all the concentration camps around 6 million people died. They treated them so horribly. This is what they made everyone wear in order to tell who was supposed to be in the camp, etc. This made sure no one was any better looking than anyone else and it made it easy to tell who the Jews were.

One of the most memorable moments I’ve experienced was when I heard Hitler was dead. This newspaper clipping tells people that Hitler has actually killed himself, who would have thought after all the bad things he did, he actually had a conscience and felt bad about it…

This is a document from Berlin to Northern Italy giving orders to liquidate all 8,000 Jews in the city, which was just another one of the cruel ways Hitler wanted to use to rid us from the community.

This is a document from Hitler ordering all Jews to concentration camps.

This is a hat worn by the people in the camp, this was to identify the Jews and know that they were Jews. Everyone had to carry around these identification cards with their identification numbers and pictures inside, so the Nazi’s knew they were Jewish.
