Academy Events ProgrammeStrategic Partnerships and Development Page 1 Period: Nov 14 – Mar 15 Date: 07/04/15 Health and Social Care Academy Highlight Report for Scottish Government Partnership Categories The Academy has developed a number of partnerships ranging in type, purpose, scope and reach. For ease of monitoring these have been split into the following categories; Strategic Partnerships (details below) Event Partnerships (details below) Partnership programmes and projects (Human Rights and Health Citizenship programme) Individual Partnerships (Key individuals – further detail illustrated by blog contributors and also key note speakers in Academy Programme section) Strategic Partnerships Partnerships in principle agreed with; NHS 24 Health Information Services NHS Education For Scotland Strathclyde Institute for Pharmacy and Biomedical Science Stroke Association Scotland (Vascular health peer training project) Smart care, United for Health and Living it Up programmes – Technology based. People Powered Health and Wellbeing Programme Next Steps – to identify and agree shared outcomes and formalise partnership. Strategic Partnership development: Academy role in ALLIANCE offer to HSCPs with NHS Health And JIT SG strategic partnership refresh – Academy inclusion as core function for consideration. NHS Health and Strathclyde CHP Human Rights partnership programme: Draft programme outline, sub-groups to be identified to drive forward research aspect. Scope and agree approach to technology series including wider links. Event Partnerships Please refer to Academy Programme section for a full list of event partners. Further event partnership's are currently in development with Northstar Housing Association, Digital Health and Innovation Partnership and a range of ALLIANCE led programmes. Masterclass Embracing the future of health and social care, Derek Feeley partnered with University of Edinburgh, What Works and JIT. Health and Human Rights: A Global Perspective, Jonathan Cohen, Open Society Foundations Citizenship and Human Rights, Michael Rowe (Yale University), partnered with NHS Health, Strathclyde University and Turning Point. Roundtable Debate Social Isolation, in partnership with Joseph Rowntree Foundation & COPE Web based Debate House of Care: WebEx, in partnership with JIT Third Force News (TFN) online debate: The Future of H&SC, partnered with TFN Academy Café NHS Education for Scotland/ Scottish Social Services Council World Café: Designing approaches for integrated learning, Perth and Glasgow discussions. ALLIANCE all Staff: Making Academy Links Podcasts and Film Podcast: Being Human, Jonathon Cohen, partnered with Open Society Foundations and Care Inspectorate Podcast: People Need People: Social Isolation and the role of the Neighbourhood, Tracey Robbins, Joseph Rowntree Foundation Film: Introduction to the Three Horizons, Andrew Lyons, International Futures Forum Citizen Blogs Since the launch of the blogs in January the Academy has recruited a suite of citizens bloggers with themes ranging from the future of health and social care, perceptions of care, the role of women and their impact, isolation, inequalities and the perspective of lived experience and that of professionals. Next Quarter PrioritiesPolicy and Communications Page 1 Period: Nov 14 – Mar 15 Date: 07/04/15 Health and Social Care Academy Highlight Report for Scottish Government Academy Communications and Engagement Strategy in effect from December 2014. Many Conditions, One Life, a public facing action plan for those living with multiple conditions in association with Scottish Government and JIT published December 2014. Academy online space launched January 2015. This space provides the focal point for all Academy activity. Marketing and Promotion – Academy promotional flyer in circulation. From Feb 2015. Social media presence launched in Jan 2015, building community of 645 followers (at date of report) and over 1300 tweets. ALLIANCE/ Academy think piece: Health Inequalities (March) Academy Catalyst Paper (Launch) : Value of Care – at draft and comment stage. ALLIANCE response to Parliamentary Isolation Enquiry (March) informed by Academy Roundtable event. H&SCA Women's campaign – Daily blogs and tweets to raise awareness/ profile of academy blogs and web space. Creative approaches to citizen engagement: In context of ALLIANCE annual conference development plan at draft stage. Citizens Wellbeing Assembly. Academy Café Series – concept developed – initial pilots successful and approach to be further developed in coming months. Awareness day social media campaigning plan – developed and in place since Feb. Various Academy contributions to partner led events including International conf on Integrated Care, COSLA. Attendance at GMC networking opportunity, NES/ SSSC World Cafe. Links Worker Programme: Record of Learning Launch – event partnered by Academy (April ) Learning Event: Storytelling and Social Media (April or May) Masterclass: The workplace of tomorrow/ Northstar Housing Association: Hold date for May. ALLIANCE Academy Café: Engagement dialogue and promotions event April. Academy Café: People Powered Health and Wellbeing partnership. Explore Education theme for Café series in partnership with NES/ JIT/ SG Further develop and agree partnership parameters with NHS 24 HIS. Formalise MoU with Strathclyde Uni and NHS Health Scotland. Planned partnership development discussions with NHS/ JIT Smartcare improvement programme and development with NHS 24/ NES. F/U NHS England links, GMC, BMA etc. Explore potential links with NHS Safety First project – a culture change initiative piloting at Golden Jubilee. Academy Think Tank concept – propose UWS partnership and plan inaugural event. Academy forward planning for 2015-18 (depending on funding option) by May Develop Think Tank Concept in partnership with University of West of Scotland Partner ALLIANCE Citizen Wellbeing Assembly. Learning Communities – explore partnership and funding options for this key Academy concept. Masterclass with Professor Dame Carol Black: Creating a Human Rights Based Approach to Employment and Welfare in Scotland. Date tbc.
