South Korea, Australia, South Africa, Japan Vs. France, Saudi Arabia, China, Britain Source: http://abcnews.go.com/Travel/americans-refuse-vacation- days-lag-rest-world/story?id=11361600

1. You don’t have enough time 2. You don’t have enough money 3. You don’t have anywhere to go 4. You just want to stay home…that’s why you work from home

 Yes you do have enough time…and it’s going away!  Caps: 2 = 130, 3 =150, 4 = 180, 5 = 200  You’re not that special, really!

 Over half of respondents found it stressful to return to work after a vacation. To make your comeback easier:  Leave with a clean slate. Finish up small tasks and respond to all emails and phone calls before you hit the road.  Don't think about work. Spend as little time as possible while away checking your office email or voicemail. By letting work go a little, you'll come back with a clearer mind. Over 60% of respondents reported that working while on your paid vacation put a damper on the fun.  Let co-workers know when you plan to take employee vacation time and when you'll be back. They'll be less likely to jam your inbox while you're away. Also, appointing a co-worker to answer questions during your absence will keep projects moving.  Keep your first morning back meeting-free. Don't jump right in - wait until you're 100% to avoid feeling overwhelmed.  Schedule catch-up time before you leave. Block out a few hours of your first day back for prioritizing projects, reading email, and finding out what happened while you were gone. http://www.payscale.com/resources.aspx?nc=Article_VacationSurveyResults

 Pay yourself!  Budget/List out your expenses  The ‘WGU’ second job  Vacation DNE Expensive

 Couchsurfing  Air miles/Credit Card points  Volunteering and agriculture  Be OPEN  Off-Season  Sacrifice Disneyland  Happiness loves company - apartments  Deal Sites Brainstorm

 Were you paying attention to that last slide?  Think Local…but not really  Conferences and Festivals  “I always wanted to try/go…”

 Please reconsider!  Kids  House projects  The other side of town  Old friends

1. You so have the time 2. You so have the money 3. You so know how to travel cheap 4. Home is *kinda* OK too
