Changes in the flow are not proportional to the movement of the handle; a little turn can vary the flow a lot. Valve with quarter turn (90º) (3-way Series with T-PORT turn 180º). 16. 16 Check Valves PVC-U & PVC-C Check valves are valves with automatic action, they work without external controls and depends for their working on the sense of the flow or the pressures in the pipe system. Its main function is to allow the fluid pass through only in one sense of the installation, allowing to work without fluid in the opposite sense or to avoid emptying situations in the line. 17. 17 Butterfly Valves PVC-U Butterfly Valves PVC-U / PVC-C / PP-H / PVDF / ABS Butterfly valves are composed of a body and a disc within, which turns 90º on its own shaft, shutting down the flow according to the disc’s position (longitudinally positioned or crossed to flow). The valve is operated by a handle, provided with a lock to fix it 0º, 90º or intermediate positions. They are installed to piping by flange adaptors and flanges, not taking too much space and can be open under pressure quite easily.
