For ET calves, if you want to receive the benefits from Multi-breed Analysis, you must include the recipient dam information. Each Recipient Dam MUST have her own UNIQUE ID. Must add the Recipient Dam ID# when registering cattle.

Adding the Recipient Dam information is FREE! …And it is IMMEDIATE. You can use the animal ID Right away to register your ET calves.

When a Recipient Dam is used for ET calves, the calves are grouped together for ratios and EPDs.

Recipient Dam information is in the database. This is necessary for maternal traits like milk and M&G.

Every single (125) ET calves with a Recipient Dam received MBE EPDs and accuracies in the Prototype.

Automating our online cattle Registration program.

What is a holding tank and why do we need one? How does it work? How does it affect me? How does it affect Associations?

Large Accounts Receivable, but no income. Complicated Logistics for sending out certificates. Animal data viewable online without payment. Accounts Payable for registrations. Cash Basis

Customer registers cattle or transfers cattle as normal. After the animals are in the database, the program checks to see if the animal has been paid for through Whole Herd Reporting or with Prepaid credits. If all payments are received, nothing is different from before. You receive your registration numbers and the animals are ready to have certificates printed and mailed.

If payment is needed, the animals go into a holding tank and the program prompts customer to pay using PayPal. Once Payment is received, the animals are released from holding tank and certificates are printed and mailed.

Can an animal in the holding tank be seen online?

No

If an animal is in a holding tank, does it count for “Active Member” voter eligibility?

No

Will a transferred animal in the holding tank be visible online?

Yes, transferred Animals will be seen online but, the original owner will be visible until out of the holding tank (payment is received)

Every time you log into the database, the program will remind you that payments are due. You will not be allowed to register new animals until the amount due is paid.

Online through PayPal or mail a check to the SCBA Office.

As soon as the payment is received by PayPal, the program will release the animals from the holding tank and they will be visible active. If payment is received through the SCBA office by check, the Office will release the animals from the holding tank.

How does an Association manage ET calves from WHR dams easily? What should we do if the Board of Directors offers a “catch-up discount” again? How do we make sure the amount we pay Reid is in agreement to his contract?

Programmer’s Fee Schedule $4 per animal or 50% of what SCBA receives, whichever is less. In WHR – Volume Discount, if WHR fee is $4.64 per animal, our programmer should be paid $2.32 per animal. In WHR – E.T. Calves, if 2 nd ET calf from WHR dam is registered, our programmer should be paid $2.50 per animal.

Allow members and associations the ability to register cattle that have a fee associated without having to pay with credit card for every transaction. Assures that SCBA is paid in advance for the registrations added to the database. Accurately calculates the fee payable to our Programmer for “special circumstances” such as the catch-up program from 2010 and volume discounts for WHR.

This Report is simply to allow for WHR Cows that have died to have EPDs print on the certificates of their progeny after they have died. It will be mailed out with WHR and is FREE.

Keeping up with the times through Social Media site, Facebook. Addition of a Facebook Page for SCBA is managed by Lisa Vorce & Ronnie King. www.facebook.com/senepolcattlebreedersassociation

SCBA “Group” added – currently has 47 Members, people who are interested in Senepol Cattle. Page is open to anyone interested in Senepol.
