1 DESCRIPTION ThePDFCloud.com is a website that offers free hosting for PDF documents with the intention of selling online. The site provides sales pages for uploaded eBooks and documents and handles payment transactions via PayPal and credit cards. The site should contain a search or index feature for PDF documents that have been uploaded. Initially, site members may have to actively promote their own products themselves through other means such as blogs, eBay, Ad words, social networks etc. Members sales pages may pop up in search engine results? The site is totally free for members. Hosting is free and all credit card transactions will be handled and payed for by the site. Due to this, a small commission will be taken from each sale to cover the costs of running the site and merchant fees. The target objective for this site is to make it a globally recognised online document store containing nothing but PDF documents and eBooks.

2 AFFILIATE SYSTEM The web site has an affiliate system that allows members to make extra cash by taking a small commission from other people’s sales. To qualify for this members must recruit other members by directing them to our sign up page. Members also recruit others without even knowing or doing anything. This is achieved by two different methods. The 1 st being when a potential customer views a sales page, does not buy, but continues on to the sites sign up page via a link on the owners sales page and creates an account. The 2 nd is after a customer buys and downloads an eBook and then later clicks on the URL that is inserted into the header of every page on the eBook. This URL is inserted to every eBook that is uploaded and contains information about the owner of the eBook. This controls how product owners can recruit others and receive commission from other members sales.

3 VIRAL SYSTEM The web site uses a viral setup for growth. As mentioned on the previous page, URL’s are added into every eBook that is uploaded and also on every sales page. This alone is expected to assist in the sign up of new members. These new members will go on to upload their own eBooks and thus generating new additional sales pages that will attract more potential members and so on. If the site has 1000 active members with at least one uploaded eBook there will then be 1000 sales pages to attract new members. In theory, the number of site members should increase as members are advertising the site inadvertently through every sale and every view of their sales page. The affiliate system mentioned on the previous page is also designed and put in place to encourage members to generate as many sales and page views as possible, spurring on the growth of the site.

4 SITE STRUCTURE The site itself is pretty basic in terms of its size. There will be 2 main pages for the site. These will be the homepage and a signup page. These two pages will contain information regarding the site. The home page will be nothing more than a welcome to the site page, a place to sign in with their accounts and a search / index feature for customers. The sign up page will be geared towards enticing visitors to sign up, a site advertisement more or less. The other part to the site will be the account management. This is a web based application. This is where members view, upload, customize their eBooks and sales pages. The account management will display statistical information about members products such as total profits, sales, page views etc. Here they can identify the products that are making sales and the ones that aren’t. Members can also see how many recruited members they have and the total money made from them. An example of what the account management may look follow on the next slides.
