5 5 TRAFFIC RECORDS 2011 Update Agency Performance Report created a sense of competition among agencies. Regional trainings along with site visits to agencies increased compliance. Agencies appreciated being advised of report short comings. The agencies approach was IF WE DON’T KNOW WHATS BROKE, WE CAN’T FIX IT !

6 TRAFFIC RECORDS 2011 Update IMPROVEMENT IN TIMELINESS 2003 Average submission time into state repository was 19 days. 2011 Average for a report to be submitted into the repository is 3.24 days. 6

8 8 TRAFFIC RECORDS 2011 Update BENEFITS OF TIMELY REPORTING City – County Engineers – MPO’s have quick access to crash reports in there respective areas. INDOT has quick access to follow up on all levels of crash reports statewide. IUPUI Center for Criminal Justice Research extracted 2010 data on Feb. 15 th for Crash Fact Books and analysis.
