4 sandyspringsga.gov Capital Improvement Program Unit Overview  Manage the majority of City’s transportation improvement projects Sidewalks, streetscapes, road improvements, etc. Coordinates with local, regional, and state agencies (GDOT, ARC, SRTA, etc.)  Manage construction activities of CIP  Right-of-way acquisition, abandonments, etc.  Emergency response  Geographic information systems 4

6 sandyspringsga.gov Field Services Unit Overview  Operation “Pave On” resurfacing Manages annual budget allocation as well as GDOT’s Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG)  Maintenance of roadways Right-of-way mowing and community appearance Road (pothole patching), sidewalks, and right-of-way drainage repairs Litter removal  Emergency response  On call operations City’s 24-Hr Call Center (770-730-5600)  Utility coordination/permitting Related to City projects and service permits City does not own any utilities – concerns are addressed with appropriate responsible provider (i.e. AT&T, Georgia Power, Fulton County, City of Atlanta, etc.)  Bridge maintenance 6
