8 Pay4SchoolStuff www.Pay4SchoolStuff.com JMR will be using the Pay4SchoolStuff website this school year. You will be able to conduct the following on this site: ●Pay for required school items: ○Consumable Workbooks ○Planner ○Locker Fees ●Provide PTA with your volunteer preferences ●Include contact information in school directory and order a directory ●Provide your Harris Teeter VIC card information to be linked ●Make a tax-deductible Capital Contribution ●Purchase Spirit Wear ●Purchase required novels ●Pay for PTA Membership

9 Online School Payment Portal The other online payment system is through CMS. It is the Online School Payment Portal. Link is on JMR website - Parent Information Use this platform to pay for athletics, field trips, and club participation fees

13 Chromebooks Each student will be issued a CMS Chromebook for academic purposes upon completion of the following: ●Required Use and Internet Safety Policy Form Signed ●Chromebook Student/Parent Agreement Signed ●Web Tool Use (K-8) Permission Slip Signed (13 and Under) All of these forms must be turned in to your child’s Homeroom teacher (3rd block) Guidelines: ●Students must carry Chromebooks in bookbags using two straps ●Students must comply with Student Code of Conduct when using Chromebook. ●Students will not take Chromebooks home. Chromebooks will be issued to 6th grade students on September 9th and 10th.

14 BYOT Bring Your Own Technology Appropriate use of student personal devices are outlined in the JMR BYOT Policy on school website and student planners. Students and parents must sign and return form in order for students to use personal devices. Read carefully. Consequences for non-compliance outlined in policy. Students should keep technology in locker until needed. Students are expected to apply Digital Citizenship procedures at all times.

15 Good to Know... Morning Students are not allowed to enter the building until the 7:45 bell unless they have scheduled tutoring or a meeting with a teacher. Breakfast Provided free of charge to all students from 7:45-8:05 Late Arrival / Tardy bell is 8:10am Any child arriving after 8:10 MUST be accompanied into the building by a parent and signed in at the Welcome Desk

16 Good to Know... Early Dismissal Child must bring a note to Welcome Desk that morning stating when/why leaving early. Child receives early dismissal note to take to appropriate teacher Child must manage getting to Welcome Desk on time Students must turn in their Chromebooks to the front office and will pick their devices up at the front office upon returning to school Parents will report to Welcome Desk when they arrive at school Parent picking up child must show photo ID when they sign out their child Children returning to school must have parent sign them back “Latest” early dismissal is 2:45 pm Absence Contact school via email robinson.attendance@cms.k12.nc.usrobinson.attendance@cms.k12.nc.us Connect-Ed call from attendance office if nothing is done Marked as unexcused if no contact by parent to school

17 Labeled items may be dropped off @ Welcome Desk Students are only called to the Welcome Desk during afternoon announcements at 3:10. If your child forgets something (i.e. lunch, homework, PE uniform) please remind him/her to check the Welcome Desk on the way to lunch. I Forgot My...

19 Bus Parking Lot Do Not Enter Alternate merging at the yellow dot Pull all the way to the end and stop Exit here. Pedestrians have the right of way at the crosswalks. Enter here for carpool

20 Dress Code Skirts, dresses and shorts should extend to at least 2 inches above the knee No shirts exposing the stomach, excessively tight tops or off the shoulder tops No low cut or revealing tank tops or shirts Sleeveless tops must be at least 3 fingers wide at straps No offensive/gang related graphics or slogans Leggings must be worn with a top that comes down to mid- thigh Flip flops are permitted, but must have sneakers for PE Please see Student Agenda/Planner for a more detailed list

21 Clubs and Activities While CMS prohibits 6 th graders from participating in sports, there are plenty of opportunities for them to get involved at JMR.
