The High Price of Sin “21: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22: Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools…. 24: Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves…” (Rom. 1).

The High Price of Sin “23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3). “10: As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one….”

The High Price of Sin Sin drives a wedge between man and God. “1: Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Isa. 59).

The High Price of Sin Sin is a real threat to any society and civilization. No murder; stealing; false witnessing; coveting neighbor’s house; must honor parents….(Ex. 20: 13; 15; 16; 17; 12, cp. Rom. 13: 9, Jas. 1: 8-11).

The High Price of Sin Sin is often the cause of physical, emotional, and psychological problems. “22: But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions” (Matt. 19: 22).

The High Price of Sin Sin divides families and causes many domestic problems. “36: And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. 37: He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me” (Matt. 10).

The High Price of Sin Sin takes away self-esteem and causes guilt. “19: Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3).

The High Price of Sin Sin can estrange and alienate the closest of brethren. “17: And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican” (Matt. 18).

The High Price of Sin Sin will result in an eternity in everlasting hell. “46: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal” (Matt. 25).

The High Price of Sin The terrible truth about sin. “15: Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16: Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (Jas. 1).
