1 Checkpoint Due Dates 1.Checkpoint 1…4/30: Pick topic and share contact info with group members. You cannot change topic after the due date. 2.Checkpoint 2…5/2: Evidence of topic in Gatsby. You must have a minimum of 4 examples filled out on the chart completely. The more evidence you find, the stronger your presentation will be. Make sure to focus on how your topic may have influenced the novel (in-depth answers required). 3.Checkpoint 3…5/6: Evidence of Modern Day Example. Your group must come up with multiple modern day examples and complete research. From there, you will choose the strongest one and continue your research on that topic. You will choose your topic during class. 4.Checkpoint 4…5/8: Modern Day Example Research. Each member must bring 3 different sources to class (print or copy them by hand) to successfully collaborate on final presentation. You must have a minimum of 10 sources total by the end of this project for all research. Begin creating a PROPER Works Cited page.

2 Checkpoint Due Dates 5.Checkpoint 5…5/8: Complete Gatsby Evidence. Examples for the whole novel should be included. 6.Checkpoint 6…5/8: Divvy up presentation and responsibilities. 7.Checkpoint 7…5/12: Rough draft of outline due. Must be typed. 8.Checkpoint 8…5/12: Visual Rough Drafts Due. Remember, you must use 3 out of 5 media types listed on the rubric. Videos cannot take up more than 20% of your time.

3 Checkpoint Due Dates 9.Checkpoint 9…5/14: Entire Project Due. This needs to be turned in polished without errors. This includes: the ENTIRE outline on ONE document, the Works Cited page with everyone’s sources on ONE document in MLA FORMAT, and your visual aid and group outline on a flash drive or CD (please make sure your media works prior to your presentation date). 10. Checkpoint 10…5/14: Index Cards (memorized) Due. Each member must write their portion of their speech on index cards and have worked on memorization for the final presentation. 10-16 min 11. FINAL DUE DATE…5/20!!! Regardless of the day your group is assigned to give their actual presentation, EVERYONE’s project is due this day.
